From St Louis Airport:

You may then rent a car to drive down about 2 hours. toy car
If you rent the car from Enterprise, you can return the car in Farmington 25 miles from the center. But if you rent the car from Budget or other, you will have to drive almost 2 hrs away to return the car. There is like most airport limousine service providing a white van shuttle available from the St. Louis airport down to Farmington, which is about 30 minutes driving time from the Center.  Contact the OZARK SHUTTLE (Phone: 573-756-5470) directly for current information on it.

Recent shuttle schedule(Sep-07):

By car

Dhamma Sukha Meditation Center and Jeta’s Grove is located about 100 miles South and West of St. Louis, Missouri . We are located about 13 miles South of Ironton, Missouri on Double A highway (AA). This is now an excellent hardtop county road in a forest area of the Federal parkland preserve leading up to the Taum Sauk Reservoir and Power Pump Storage Station. The pump station is closed at this time for major repairs which will take about 3 yrs minimum to complete. This road has fresh white guidelines on it and a double yellow lane on it for safe driving through the forest.

From the North / St. Louis, MO

    • [The directions will keep changing until the road constructions get completed.]
    • Take Rt. 67 south to Farmington
    • In Farmington: Get off at the "221" (W. Columbia St.) exit, (as you go up the exit ramp there IS a BROWN SIGN noting ARCADIA VALLEY with an arrow to turn right)Turn right at end of the ramp onto route W west [now also called 221]  for 7.1 miles away from town.
    • You will see a left turn with a sign for Pilot Knob This is  "V".  There is no stop sign. [ NOTE: at this time THIS ROAD IS "N" DETOUR. ]Take it for 8.7 miles to Pilot Knob and a stop sign.
    • When you enter Pilot Knob you will come to the first STOP SIGN where you Turn Left and go .3mi to  the second STOP sign and turn LEFT. This is Route 21.(Veterans Memorial Highway)
    • On Rt. 21 go 2.2 miles to Home St.
    • Follow Route 21 on past Ironton and Arcadia which will be on the right side of the highway and you will be going towards Lesterville and Annapolis. (This will become Rt 21/72.)
    • You will come to the Arcadia Sporting Goods store on your right side at the intersection of Home St. and Rt. 21. Continue past for another  8.4 miles and look for a sign on the right side that says [ Pump Storage Station/ CLOSED INDEFINITELY ]. The very next road on the right is “AA”.
    • Turn right onto "AA"
    • Now follow this road for 5 miles on the hardtop road which may change into being CR 205, but I don’t think there is any sign for this. Stay on the new road surface, do not go off onto any gravel roads.
    • There will be a WHITE MAILBOX the number 100 on it and a small Buddhist Wheel on the right side of the road.
    • The Center's driveway in on the left opposite the mailbox. You drive down off the road only a short distance in past a lawn on the left to an area compound of little buildings. There is a little old brown house with two Tigers painted on the end of it, a small cottage shed facing you which is the office, and a longer building on the right which is the monk’s quarters.
    • CONGRATULATIONS !  YOU ARE HERE.

From the East / Cape Girardeau:

    • Take Rt. 67 south to Farmington
    • You can also reach us from Cape Girardeau, MO to the East of us via Route 72 towards Fredericktown and Ironton.
    • Coming that way, you continue through Fredericktown, cross over Rt. 67, and continue on Rte. 72 to Ironton. This is quite a ways.
    • At Ironton, the road eventually curves down like on a clover leaf to a stop.
    • You turn right onto Home St. at that point.
    • Follow Home St. one block to a “T” at Route 21/49. At that point you turn right onto Rte 21
    • You are now at the “Arcadia Sporting Goods Store”  on your right side at the intersection of Home St. and Rt. 21. Turn right onto 21 and continue on for about 8.5 miles out of town.  Look for a sign on the right side that says [ Pump Storage Station/ CLOSED INDEFINITELY ]. The very next road on the right is “AA”.
    • Turn right onto "AA"
    • Now follow this road for 5 miles on the hardtop road which may change into being CR 205, but I don’t think there is any sign for this. Stay on the new road surface, do not go off onto any gravel roads.

From the South side coming up to us:

    • From Rt. 60 come on over into Centerville, MO.

    • You will pass through Lesterville, a very tiny little place.
    • As you pass through it, you will cross a bridge over the black river. You will see the Log Cabin Inn on the left and Lenny's store will be on the right side. JUST past this you will see a brown sign for Taum Sauk Lake on the left.
    • Turn left onto "U"  just past that sign.
    • Follow “U” for about 7 miles. You will be driving on older hardtop road at first with a line in the middle on it, and then with no line as you pass over into state forest lands.
    • Along this way you will come to a low water bridge crossing. Usually this is dry. Go over this low water dip.
    • Just past this, you must bear to the right and continue onto the new hardtop road and this will have excellent white safety lines on the sides and a double yellow line in the middle.
    • About 3 miles down this road, You will come to the WHITE MAILBOX with the number 100 on it and a small Buddhist Wheel beside the number on your left.
    • CAUTION: From this direction, the driveway, which is directly opposite the mailbox, is like a hairpin U-turn ! So, please be careful. You will need to pull way to the left to be able to make the turn into our driveway by making this U-turn. TAKE EXTREME CAUTION IF doing this during the day ! There are many large trucks going along this road at this time because of the pump station repairs going on.
