TWIM Conference (TWIM-Con), April 21 – April 24, 2022

(Followed by DSMC Retreat April 26-May 5)    


Dhamma greeting on behalf of Venerable Bhante Vimalaramsi,


A conference is being organized to discuss and plan the future possibilities of TWIM. It will bring together sangha and community leaders in cooperation help guide the direction of TWIM as it expands in popularity.


As a leader or organizer in the TWIM community, you are invited to attend the conference at DSMC this coming April Your knowledge and perspective is an important contribution as TWIM becomes more widely available for succeeding generations.


About the Conference:

Who: Distinguished TWIM leaders and organizers

When: Thursday, April 21, 5:00 PM through Sunday, April 24, 11:00 AM.

Where: Approx. twenty attend at DSMC. Other attendees world-wide connected via Zoom

Cost: Dana accepted

The goal of the conference will cover multiple topics with the following objectives:

  1. Create and strengthen bonds in lay and monastic communities

  2. Review the complete history of TWIM  

  3. Discuss sustainability needs and growth opportunities

  4. Global report of ongoing activities including future plans 

  5. Update retreat guide and mentoring programs to expand retreats and classes

  6. Set up a shared vision for the future of TWIM principles and practices

  7. Schedule periodic follow-up TWIM-Con meet ups and calls 

  8. Drink coffee and tea, eat good food, talk and laugh a lot


The conference is structured to optimize our time together. It includes scheduled group meeting sessions, presentations, and moderated discussions. Various sessions will require preparation of information for presentation to the group. You may be asked to present a topic pertaining to your expertise, experience or seniority in the community. Some sessions will also require volunteers to facilitate discussions, take notes or be the timekeeper. There will be adequate rest time, good food, and opportunities to make new friends. It short it will be an important contribution to the true dhamma while furthering Bhante’s lifetime of teaching. Together, we will all be participants and attendees throughout weekend while being instrumental in the future of TWIM.


A special TWIM-con 10 day retreat will immediately follow the conference at DSMC.  Apr 26- May 5th  14 people. This opportunity is exclusively for conference participants and offers the opportunity to practice together while receiving daily direct guidance with Bhante. (First come first serve on this)
