We will be reading

Tuesday Practice Circle -From Apr 14th on

Aṅguttara Nikāya & Ongoing Sutta Exploration

Starting April 14, we’ll be spending time with the Aṅguttara Nikāya as our home base, while also exploring other suttas and Dhamma teachings along the way in a flexible, supportive way.

We’re settling into a slightly different rhythm with this text than we had with The Five Illusionists. Rather than trying to move through every sutta, I’ll be reading it as part of my daily morning practice, moving sequentially from the Book of Ones onward, and bringing selected passages into our group each week.

These suttas cover a wide range of Dhamma topics—from daily life guidance to deeper meditation instruction—offering a variety of ways to support and inspire our practice along the Eightfold Path.

You’re warmly invited to join in this rhythm in whatever way feels natural—reading on your own and bringing anything that stands out. To help us stay loosely connected, I’ll share a general page range each week or month.*

*For April, we are reading from the Book of Ones.

We’ll use this text as our anchor, while also pausing at times to explore related suttas, Dhamma topics, or occasional guest teachings. The focus is to stay flexible and guided by what most supports our meditation.

Previous Study (January – April)

The Five Illusionists
From January through April, we explored The Five Illusionists—looking at how the five aggregates can mislead us when we cling to them, and how we can gently let go through meditation.

During this time, we:

  • worked with different meditation objects and contemplations

  • explored several suttas from the Khandha Saṁyutta

  • supported each other in bringing these insights into daily life

This phase gave us a solid foundation to continue deepening our practice together.

If you don't have a copy of the Anguttara Nikkaya you can find a copy at: Suttas.com (no account needed) or

Wisdomexperience.org (here you will have to create a free account)

Bikkhu Bodhi has a regular study of the Anguttara Nikkaya that started in 2016 - it is still going on - here are the past recordings of these sutta studies.

Join the TWIM Practice Circle

A weekly TWIM group for reading suttas, sitting in meditation, and sharing insights together.

What to Expect Each Week

The TWIM Practice Circle is a space for shared discovery, using the approach of Tranquil Wisdom Insight Meditation (TWIM). Each week follows a simple rhythm:

1. Read — We start by reading a short sutta together. No need to analyze or jump into discussion — we just let the words settle.

2. Sit — Then we sit in TWIM-style meditation for about 30 minutes, letting the sutta deepen through direct experience.

3. Share — After the sit, we open space for quiet reflection. You’re welcome to share what stood out, how the sutta connected with your meditation, or anything that felt meaningful. Listening quietly is also welcome — there’s no pressure to speak.

This isn’t a Dhamma talk or a formal teaching. It’s just a chance to read the suttas together, sit quietly, and see what comes up. Sometimes insights come, sometimes not — and that’s totally fine. It’s really about showing up and practicing together.

Everyone’s welcome — no matter your level of experience.

You’re free to come when it works for you, and there’s no need to commit to every session. Still, there’s something about showing up regularly — the practice tends to settle more deeply, and friendships in the Dhamma have a little more space to grow.

However it fits into your life, we’d love to have you with us.

Facilitated by Kirsten Jones

Kirsten will guide and hold space each week. She may offer methods that have helped in her own practice, especially with bringing the suttas into meditation, but the focus is on inviting everyone’s reflections. We’re here to support each other and discover the Dhamma together.
